If you were a Muslim…

What if people were looking at you with suspicion. You know what they’re thinking. You’re a terrorist. Or one to be. They can tell by your looks, even if you sometimes are a Sikh from India. They know. In fact, they often know you better than you do.

You are probably a criminal. The last thing you printed was probably a bomb making manual. Oh yes, the people around you can tell. Have you been to a hard ware store lately? How many AK’s do you have in the closet?

They sometimes asks you to go home to your country. Even if you were born here. Even if there never were another country. Even if this is your country that you proudly serve – you don’t belong.

Your religion teach hatred. Every now and then a Christian approaches with the truth. And you learn that they see you as a threat. Christianity is so much better. That you’ll understand when they praise the second amendment.

As you approach the security at an airport, did you budget for several hours of vetting? By now you must know that they use “inexperienced” personnel, that regrettably makes mistakes for hours. Well, if it comes out, that is.

Who ever you are reading this, no matter whom you’ve voted for or what ever religion you represent – don’t make people suffer. Don’t think your life, beliefs or politicians matters more. Stay human. Be an equal.

“Go home to your country”

Racism2

It’s become a common phrase in fast food restaurants, malls, on the bus and streets of America. And growing in England. At least if you believe You Tube. Click for proof  Or just search “racist people” And you will find a serious amount of this at the internet. Has it always been like this? No, I don’t thinks so because there’s a political message quite often. It’s “my country, you democrat!, we the people”. And a lot of other epithets that I’m not going to quote. But the degrading of people seem massive and endless.

I feel bad for children growing up in these situations, because they didn’t choose it. They don’t deserve it. It’s a voluntarily fight that racist people pick. These actions can be put in a few sentences: My child, in this country we are divided. We stand for fighting each other so that the country that you will take over makes your future as horrible as possible.

You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to understand what will be in the future for these countries. For any country in this situation it’s devastating. And as the world are watching it doesn’t help how many patriotic movies Hollywood make. The reality is clear. Countries divided can’t be trusted. Can’t be taken seriously. It doesn’t matter how powerful it’s leaders are.

I imagine the “go home” rhetoric hurts. Or at least it’s the aim for the racists. But earth is home. And don’t you think only white people are racists. Unfortunately racism comes in every color. And every time is a good time to stand up for a fellow citizen.

Throwing rocks and bibles into a mosque?

Broken glass mosque

Last time I checked Christianity was about respect, love and compassion. The gospels emphases this over and over again. And I have read it in three languages and one of them is the original Greek language called koiné. So, explain to me why you would like to throw bibles into a mosque? And then stones?

As for bible throwing, if you want to get rid of your bible, pass it to someone that will find it useful. And just maybe you should consider using it yourself. There’s quite a bit to learn about respecting others. Treat good books with a bit of respect. That’s my personal wish.

Throwing stones is a bit more evil-minded. Break glass and make people uncomfortable and insecure is surely illegal even in Fort Collins, Colorado. You are an embarrassment to every true christian.

If you recognize yourself in the mirror of the glass – be ashamed. Do not involve religion in your twisted mind.

Islamophobia

Apologize

There are two types of fear, rational and irrational fear. I have two irrational fears.  I’m not too keen about spiders or heights. For some reason I’m not afraid of Muslims. I don’t have Islamophobia. It’s great. Irrational fears is some kind of a test in itself. Who needs it?

So far I have not come across rational Islamophobia.  (Rational fear, by the way, is what you would feel when facing a bear, realizing your brakes don’t work on the highway and imminent things like that.) Islamophobia is not rational at all. But it is possible to build up irrational fear, and create things to be afraid of. Just like the bonfire stories youth like to tell. It often starts in small groups. Among family, neighbors and friends.

So if you manage to build up Islamophobia, you have achieved two things. You have created something you don’t really want. And if acting out, you have started to hurt people around you.

The words hurt. The posts in social media hurts. The YouTube films hurt. The epithets screamed at schoolyards hurt. Because yes, children are very quick to learn, and they are taught hatred. The more of this that Muslims have to face in their daily life, the more they are likely to turn extreme. To find a way to respond to oppression. That’s how it works.

If you come by a Muslim that you think is not integrated – you got half the responsibility.

It comes to my mind that when I was living in a country where I couldn’t understand the language, I didn’t know people but every time I walked the dirt road to run an errand it took hours. Because all the neighbors invited me, wanted me to eat, share a few moments and that is how a learned their language. It started in gardens. I learned the names of the fruit. There’s riches to be discovered. And I hope you find yours.

I’m so tired of the Hijab discussions

hijab

It’s silly. Politicians should be concerned about their peoples welfare and well being. Not what they wear on their heads. I really don’t want to pay for politicians not doing their job.

Private employers may bar staff from wearing Islamic headscarves and other visible religious symbols under certain conditions, the European Union’s top court ruled on Tuesday.

Since I’ve worked a great deal with security I do understand that niqab and burkha is difficult under some circumstances. But hijab? Restrictions is about oppressing the religion. Nothing else. It’s dealing with fear in the most childish way. Fear of ancient ruling is punished by intervening in how people dress.

How about solving the problems? Learn about the problem and then solve it. Period!

Nukes or health?

HeNu

I get the feeling that the health care, aka “a disaster” is in the way for upgrading and build more nuclear bombs. There seem to be a connection.

Trump needs his leaks

flintstones-house
The Flintstones also had a White House

If you’re a good liar you should have a good chance to get a job in the White House. The methods used to achieve their objectives is not the forward truth as we knew it.

Of course it starts to leak. The more the truth is covered up, the more leaks will come out. That’s what happens in closed societies as seen in the far east. The leaks will make America stay democratic. (As long as we don’t get to hear about where he’s nukes are pointing)

No one in the WH seem familiar with open and transparent working methods. No one seem to understand the importance in being scrutinized. And there is the threat to democracy. Agendas that can’t be viewed by the people shouldn’t be on the table. There should not be a need for lying or suggest alternative facts. That’s not to serve the people.

As Trump keep complaining about the leaks he seems okay with the people lying in the administration. He’s obviously more troubled about things leaking out.

Well, it’s not all bad. As long as the administration deals with internal problems it can’t stir up the world. Trust me, that would be so much worse.
